This 5K running and walking race promotes fitness, cardiovascular health, confidence, discipline, self-esteem, and fun. It also benefits the Special Olympics of West Virginia, serving the needs of athletes of all ability levels. We encourage local businesses to participate in the corporate competition! Come enjoy the flat, fast course.

About the Race Location: Charleston, West Virginia is the perfect way to enjoy a day, weekend getaway or extended adventure. Nestled in the lush, Appalachian Mountains, the capital city is the perfect setting to enjoy history, culture, entertainment and fun. Plus, don't forget all the great shopping, restaurants, hotels and the 9,300-acre, Kanawha State Forest.

Proceeds: All funds go to help support Kanawha County Special Olympics and the WV Law Enforcement Torch Run Fund.

Start and Course // Run/Walk starts at 8:00 am - WVU Medical Building, 31st street & Virginia Ave Kanawha City, Charleston, WV // Race course turns at 47th street marked halfway point/water stop. Emergency personnel will be available on site.

SPECIAL // Trophy awarded to the individual or group with the highest amount of donation to Run with a Cop for Special Olympics
