WHEN:Saturday, June 5th, 1999 - Race starts at 8:00 a.m.

REGISTRATION: Starts at 7:00 a.m. at the WVU Medical Bldg.
on 31st Street in Kanawha City (by CAMC), with parking in the hospital lot.

ENTRY FEES: The cost to runners will be $12 and walkers $10
Day of race registration...add an additional $3.00
(All pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt.)

AWARDS: 1st Place trophies go to Male & Female Age Groups
2nd & 3rd Place ribbons also go to Male & Female Age Groups

AGE GROUPS:
Males: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 & Over.

Females: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & Over.

Trophies also go to: Overall Male & Female Race Winners
Male & Female Master Race Winners
The individual and the group with the highest amount of donations to Law Enforcement for Special Olympics.

First, Second, and Third place ribbons go to Walkers.

More Race Details:

  • Some prize drawings are donated from Runners World Magazine
  • Runners and walkers will receive a T-shirt until they run out.
    After that if you still want a shirt they will mail the shirt to you with in a few weeks.
  • All proceeds will go to help the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and to the Kanawha County Special Olympics.
  • The race is open to not only Law enforcement but also civilians.
  • The Course is a certified race route
  • Sponsor sheets will be available for donations to the Special Olympics
