The Poca River 15K is the oldest race on the roads in West Virginia, sponsored by the Kanawha Valley Road Runners Club!
The 15K (9.3 miles), road race path from start to finish goes over the Poca River new bridge and to the end of Doc Bailey Road in Cross Lanes.

Awards: M/F Overall Champions, Masters Champions, Male Heavyweight 185 Lbs & over Awards in the following runners age groups:

19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & over.
19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50 & over.

Course Info:
The start finish lines are located at the new bridge at the end of Doc Bailey Road off Big Tyler Road in Cross Lanes. Exit I-64 at the Cross Lanes interchange, go approximately 2.4 miles and turn left on Doc Bailey Road. The race course is a loop that is paved, rolling and fast.

One of the best quotes Pat Board has ever heard about the race course was when he asked a runner about it and he said, "its down hill out and down hill back".
