Course The 2000 Old Dominion is a measured loop trail through the Massanutten Mountains, Shenandoah River Valley and Fort Valley, Virginia with 14 significant climbs, 14,000 feet of gain.  The course is planned to be a fair test of endurance running, 100 miles cross-country in one day, it is a worthy challenge.
Time Limit 24 hours for the Old Dominion sterling silver buckle recognized around the world.  Old Dominion's course is held open for 28 hours, encouraging runners to go the distance.  A distinctive commemorative is awarded for this accomplishment.
Start/Finish The Shenanadoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock, Virginia. The first week of June, by proclamation, is Endurance Run Week in Shenandoah County.
Facilities A convenient walk from base-camp at the Fairgrounds to the historic town of Woodstock, founded 1752, as well as lodging and many fine restaurants.  Bathrooms and camping are at the fairground.
Aid Stations 24 aid stations.  Two medical checks staffed by volunteer military doctors and 82nd Airborne physician assistants and medics.
Pre-Race Brief
5:00 PM Friday June 2, 2000, fairground. Mandatory for runners and race crews. MANDATORY
Qualifying Criteria Either: A 50 Mile race, finished within the time limits for that race, since January 1999. Or: Buckling (Under 24 hour finish) in any previous OD 100
Entry Fee $125.00 must be postmarked by May 3rd.  May 4th-20th, $175.00. No entries accepted after May 20th.   Early appreciated.  Make check payable to Old Dominion Endurance Run, Inc.
