5K fun for everyone!
The 13th Annual Pirate's Fun Run & Walk for Epilepsy took place in downtown Pittsburgh with approximately 800 walkers and runners covering the course along the scenic river. The finish line of this year's race was directly behind the Pirates new PNC ballpark. Many companies encouraged their employees to come and participate in this event and many showed their company spirit with the shirts they wore.

Adding to the mix were the many four legged animals that joined their owners for some early morning exercise. And, as you can see by the pictures, they were dog tired after the event was over.

After all the running and walking, in traditional Pittsburgh manner, a tailgate party took place with plenty of frosty beverages and hotdogs being served to all.

No stopping the party at PNC Park
The uniqueness of this event was that there were no prizes for finishing first, it was just a run to benefit the Epilepsy foundation with everyone coming out as winners.

The race organizers would like to thank all those sponsors that made the race possible and all those runners and walkers who came out in support of the Epilepsy foundation. For more information you can visit the The Epilepsy Foundation of Western PA web site.
