Racing into the downhill start
What a beautiful day for a racem, the sun was out with perfect fall temperatures for a race in Morgantown. This was the 12th year of the Red Ribbon race and the 10th race in the Morgantown Area Grand Prix series. Known for the fast downhill start and the hard uphill finish, this race is a favorite for many people.

The runners can get a great buffer before hitting the final climb up to the finish. But, the runners have to look out for the middle of the race because it is rolling and harder than a lot of people might think. All and all, some fast times are usually recorded by the runners on this race course.

For the women, Bury, a former WVU runner, won with a time of 17:17.43. Heather's racing sponsors include Sacony and PowerBar. Everyone should wish her luck as she starts training for the Olympic trials in the marathon.
