Red Ribbon
Run with a friend
The sun was high, the air was cool and the colors were at peak in Morgantown, West Virginia this past Sunday. It was absolutely a perfect day to be outside, doing whatever it is you love to do.

Over 100 people showed up to enjoy their day running or walking through beautiful White Park in the Red Ribbon 5k. With the air temperature perfect for a run, and the course being relatively flat, it made for some fast times and wonderful racing. The first runner to make his way to the finish line, with a blazing sub sixteen time was Ryan Skotnicki (15:43:46).

Red Ribbon
Heading for the finish
He was being chased by Jaron Hawkins (16:02:86) and Brandon Miles (16:51:92), the second and third place finishers. For the women's division, tenth place overall Heather Bury (18:46:50) was the first women to cross the finish line. She was followed by second place Kelley Holipsky (20:07:86) and third place Rachel Karpency (21:26:39). In the walking division Craig Baer (29:24:70) came in first place with second and third place finishers being Anna Walsh (35:38:74) and Gwen Baer (36:13:27).

Fun was had by all of the participants and spectators that showed up for this annual event. When it rolls around again next year, I hope to see you all out there to experience one of Morgantown's better races, and lets just pray that the weather is as perfect as it was this year.
