Trick or Treat
Everyone's a winner here
The small town of Midland, Maryland hosted thier annual Trick-or-Treat 5K Run as part of the Queen City Striders Series. Many friendly faces were seen on race day. With the excitement of Halloween only a week away, many people came for some pre-Halloween fun. Over 75 runners came to Midland, MD for the annual Trick-or-Treat 5K Run. With some wigs and masks in the crowd, the runners lined up to start the race in the cool autumn air.

The race stared and ended on roads surrounding the Midland Fire Hall, and the course looped all around downtown Midland.

Crossing the finish line first with an impressive time of 16:26 was Jaron Hawkins. Seconds behind Jaron was Ron Lipscomb with a time of 16:49.The third male to cross the line was Bruce Dotson with a time of 17:19.

For the ladies the first place prize went to Maureen Hall who had a time of 19:05. Following behind Maureen was Lynn Bridges who crossed the finish line with a time of 19:43. Jennifer Patton came in third for the ladies with a time of 20:19.

After the race people gathered along the road to watch the kids do a dash to the finish line to win some medals. Once inside again they were treated to bags of candy. There were also refreshments for the adults including donuts and complimentary Red Bull energy drinks. Thanks to all who made this race a success once again.
