Most of the climbs are short and steep, followed by long and gradual downhill sections. The last few miles will take you along the old Sewell road beside beautiful Glade Creek, and up to and past the famous Gristmill and then around Boley Lake.
It will reward you with spectacular overlooks, lush green moss and ferns, rhododendron tunnels, waterfalls and more.
Training Runs
If anyone is interested in some practice runs at the park contact the event staff and they will try to coordinate it. You can split the course into an 8 mile or 5 mile loop.
