Enjoy a beautiful and unique course at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory
Race starts at 1:00 pm.

The 3.1-mile course begins and ends near the old tour center. While participants race, you will have a great view of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory's (NRAO) Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT), the world's largest fully steerable single aperture antenna!

Age divisions for the RUN are 13 and under; 14-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and over. Prizes will be awarded to each divisional winner.

Water stations will be on the course and post-race refreshments will be provided.

To Benefit the William Dilley Scholarship

Monies from the event will be divided equally to support the track team as well as go to the William Dilley Scholarship. William was a graduate and member of Pocahontas Track team in the 1970's. A scholarship fund was set up to assist high school graduates who are participants in the track program.

Bring Family and Friends

Tour the NRAO and see first hand all 11 telescopes, one being the Tatel Telescope which is best known for being used by Frank Drake for the first search for extraterrestrial intelligence; most of the time was spent in basic exploration of the radio universe.
