Thursday morning is trash day and that always heads me the direction for taking the long way to work past Lake '0 Woods. The recent rain and thaw raised the water level for local lakes and streams but yesterday saw the cold return. This bench was caught up in the high water and then frozen in place.

A little further down the road is the Old Valley Furnace. I'm a huge fan of hand cut stone but they don't always lend them selves to nice photographs.

I may well be back to the Old Valley Furnace to try some more interesting angles.
