Back Bay 5K
Almost there, way to go!
Boy O' boy what a difference one year can make. Warm temperatures instead of snow greeted this year's participants at the Backbay Snow flake sprint. Over 200 runners and walkers converged at Krepps park in Morgantown, West Virginia, to enjoy an excellent course, good food, and a great race.

It was the perfect way to finish up the 12 race series for the Morgantown area. Having a strong field of familiar faces, helped squeeze out some solid times.

The battle for 2nd is on!
The first runner to emerge at the finish relatively unchallenged was Ryan Skonicki with an impressive sub-sixteen time of 15:42.39.

The race for second place was a battle clear to the end. Brandon Miles and John Riffle came down the final stretch stride for stride with Miles pulling it out. Both of these runners had good times of 16:53.70 (Miles), and 16:54.62 (Riffle.)

Warm temps and sunny skies.
In the women's division the three top ladies to cross the line in a relatively close race were Stacie Griffen (20:51.87), Kerry Davis (21:06.14), and Kelly Holipsky (21:10.89).

With a group of 50+ walkers strong Craig Baer once again walked away from the pack with a time of 20:09.85.

If you appreciate good food, a beautiful place, and strong running look no further. Mark your calendar to the first Sunday in December and finish up the racing season in style at the Back Bay 5K.
