Posing for a group shot
The annual Scottdale Fall Festival was the place to be this past weekend. The community came together to present their crafts, music and local food. It was also the site for the annual Scotdale Walking and Running events. The town hosted a 5K and 10K run, accompanied by a competitive walk. An energetic group turned out on this beautiful sunny Saturay. The streets were lined with people cheering enthusiastically, supporting all who came out.

The 5K race was a quick. Eddie Filcheck of Uniontown, Pennsylvania crossed the finish line in 18:03 with Chris Kiefer of Scotdale, PA in 2nd (18:22). Joe Molinaro of Pittsburg, PA strolled in at 3rd in 19:27.

A great day to be with friends
Anne Peters of Brownsville commented about the race, "The course was fun, but hot especially on the hills. The race organizers marked the course clearly, and supported the race well with water stops. The hills were tough in the heat!"

After the race all competitors were treated to live music at the town's pavilion, local food vendors and children's activities. This fall festival is definitely one to put on the calendar for next year. Congratulations to all who raced.
