Part of the Morgantown Adventure Sports Series (MASS)
This series is a brand new collection of outdoor adventure competitions hosted by the West Virginia University College of Physical Activity & Sports Science that will test your physical abilities and mental toughness.
Competitors in this series will compete in up to six events over the course of the year. At each event participants will be eligible for event awards and will also earn performance based points towards series awards at the end of the year. Come show your stuff!

* $18.00 (received by April 23rd), pre-registrant
* $25.00 (from April 24th through race day), late registrant
All pre-registrants are guaranteed a custom event t-shirt! Late registrants will receive t-shirts as long as supplies allow. Entry fees are non-refundable for any reason.
This event is open to participants age 14 and older. All participants will be required to sign the appropriate race waiver at race check-in. Participants under the age of 18 will also be required to have their parent or legal guardian sign that they are granting permission for the minor to enter the event.

Awards will be presented to the top three male/female participants from the following categories/ages: Overall, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

Friendship Hill National Historic Site is located 10-minutes north of Morgantown and has 10-miles of beautiful trails near the Mon River. View park directions for details.
Race Course // [Course Map] (pdf file)
This event will begin with a mass start on a grass straightaway near the road before turning right along a field and into the woods. The trail will wind along beside a small steam before turning left onto the North Meadow Loop. At the end of this loop runners will turn left onto the Main Loop Trail and descend to the river. After reaching the bottom of the hill, racers will run along a gently rolling trail near the edge of the Mon River before climbing back to the hilltop via a challenging stretch of trail we are calling "The Stairmaster Section." Once on top again the trail narrows at points as you rip up twisting single track along the edge of the bluffs before returning to a massive open field to the finish. This race has a variety of beautiful terrain sure to challenge racers of all abilities.
