Hosted by the Friends of Deckers Creek (FODC), this is the LAST event in the Morgantown Adventure Sports Series (MASS)

Delicious post-event food and beverages will be provided to all racers! All pre-registrants are guaranteed a custom event t-shirt! Late registrants will receive t-shirts as long as supplies allow.
This Adventure Race is open to participants age 12 and older as long as one team member is at least 18 years old. All participants will be required to sign the appropriate race waiver at race check-in. Participants under the age of 18 will also be required to have their parent or legal guardian sign that they are granting permission for the minor to enter the event.
There is NO Rain Date. Race goes on rain or shine!

$90 per team due Friday, September 10 (Early Fee)
$120 per team after 9/10/10 due by 5:00 pm Friday, October 1 (Late Fee) - Race day check-in/packet pick-up (Sunday, October 3, 2010) is at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park Amphitheater from 10:30am - 12:00pm.

How it Works
TEAMS of 3 will compete in this semi-urban sprint distance adventure race consisting of biking, foot travel, canoeing, rappelling, map orienteering, and a multitude of "mystery events" that will challenge both body and mind. Each team in this event will have a maximum of three-hours to complete as many of the course challenges as they can or care to tackle before returning to the finish line. Competitors earn points for completing events and/or reaching locations within the race boundaries. The highest score wins!

- The top overall team at this year's event will be crowned the Adventure Day Champions and receive the grand prize of an overnight rafting/camping trip on the New River!
- Presented to the top three teams in the following categories:

All Male
All Female
Youth/Family (teams with at least one member who is age 17 or younger)
Business/Organization/School
Course
Course maps/details are kept Top Secret and will not be released until race day!
Due to the open course design (participants will choose their route and race strategy), accurate distances for the race can not be stated. However, it is predicted that a top team who manages to complete all of the challenges and legs of the race will cover approximately 16 miles of cycling, 5 miles of foot travel, and 1 mile of canoeing. A beginner team may only choose to cover half this distance.

This series is a collection of outdoor adventure competitions hosted by the West Virginia University College of Physical Activity & Sports Science that tests physical abilities and mental toughness. Competitors compete in up to six events over the course of the year. At each event participants will be eligible for event awards and will also earn performance based points towards series awards at the end of the year.
