This 5th annual event encourages participants with or without dogs to run or walk! The race starts at 8:30 am and all applications/Entry Forms must be dated.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit Generation Morgantown.

Awards

Overall top three male finishers with dogs. Overall top three female finishers with dogs.

Refreshments

Water stations at start, halfway point and finish. Water will be provided for pets. Water, fruit, bagels, and dog biscuits will be provided at the finish line.

Course

The out and back course will be run/walked on the Deckers Creek Rail Trail starting at the Hazel Ruby-McQuain Amphitheatre. The trail is paved and completely flat. The turn-around will be at Ralph's Beverage Distributors.

Parking

Race day parking is available at the Wharf District parking garage located off of Don Knotts Boulevard.

Miles of Smiles would be providing timing services for the race.

RULES

1. Dogs must be kept on a leash at ALL times. No leashes longer than six feet in length and No extend-a-leashes permitted.

2. Dogs must have current vaccinations.

3. Race officials reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog whose behavior could be dangerous to others.

4. Please use good judgment regarding the temperament of your pet.

5. Stay alert of other runners and dogs. Keep to the right of the rail trail as much as possible.

6. Pick up after your dog. Doggie bags will be given out before the race.

7. No dogs younger than six months of age will be allowed to participate.

8. Please understand that 3.1 miles is a significant distance for a dog to run continuously. Know your dog's limitations and stop running if your dog becomes sluggish or starts excessive panting.
