Course Descriptions:

Please note this event has moved from the Marion County Adult and Community Education Center (White School) to East-West Stadium.

The course goes down Virginia Ave. & goes down on Gaston Ave. to 4th Street. The route turns right on 4th Street which becomes Everest Drive. The course turns left on Kirk Way and then left on Benoni Ave./Coal Run Hollow. The route goes the length of Benoni Ave and then turns left on 9th Street. It turns right on Farms Dr. and then left on Laurel Dr. Coming out between the motel and the Poky Dot, the course crosses Fairmont Ave. diagonally to 12th St. The 5K heads down 12th St to the stadium & finishes on the track by the 50 yard line.

  • 10K Course ... The 10K is projected to start on Minor Ave & turn right on either 13th St. or 14th St. It will turn right on Virginia and join the basic loop. After completing the basic loop once, runners will redo the basic loop a 2nd time. After completing the basic loop twice, runners will go down 12th St. and turn into East-West Stadium. The 10K will finish on the stadium track.

  • 5K Course ... The 5K is projected to start near the corner of Virginia Ave & 14th St. It will travel Virginia Ave. to the basic loop . After completing the basic loop once, the course continues down 12th St. & turns into East-West Stadium. The 5K will also finish on the stadium track.

  • Course changes ... Using an internet mapping tool, we know the basic loop is about 2.5 miles long. When we wheel measure the courses, any changes to lengthen the course or shorten the course will be done to the start, not to the basic loop or to the finish.
