Little Washington Cyclocross - APCXS # 3
This is the THIRD RACE of the 2010 Appalachian Cyclocross Series (APCXS) presented by the Appalachian Bicycle Racing Association (ABRA). For more series information go to www.abraracing.com.
To qualify for the Series Championship (Bruceton Mills Cyclocross, APCXS # 8) you must compete in 4 out of the 7 events. Total points will be determined, points to be given by finishing order at each event.

Costs $30, table opens at 8:30 AM
USAC Annual License required for all riders except Men's Cat-4 and Woman's Cat-4. Annual License can be purchased on the day of the race. One-day Licenses can be purchased at the event for $10. USA Cycling Permit # 2010-3056.

Course
Course loop is approximately 1.25 - 1.5 miles long and fast. Fast lap times will be slightly over 6 minutes. Mixture of grass* and pavement** with off camber surfaces. Lots of tight turns. Obstacles per loop include one set of man-made barriers.
Claiming Prizes
Prizes will be distributed at the staging area within 1 hour of race results being posted. All prizes not claimed at the race are forfeit.

No refunds starting two weeks before event date. Sag support will be provided. All USCA rules apply. Riders must wear helmets at all times. Mountain bikes permitted with handlebar ends removed per USAC rules. Riders under 18 need a signed parental consent form. Results will be sent to USACycling.org.
RULES
* Mass start by class. Lapped riders will yield to riders on the lead lap. All riders must wear helmets.
* After the time has elapsed and the lead rider crosses the finish line the bell will sound. All riders will complete one more lap after the bell has sounded.
* There are many hazards both natural and man made. The race organizers will make every effort to make the course as safe as possible, however all racers are expected to be conscientious of both the hazards and other riders on course.
* Short-cutting the course will result in disqualification.
* There will be a pit area where parts/bikes may be exchanged.
* Riders will dismount when they enter the pit area and will not remount until they have left the pit area.
* If a rider disturbs an obstacle they are responsible for resetting the obstacle. Failure to do so may result in penalization or disqualification at the race official's discretion.
* Be courteous and respectful of others. Un-sportsmanlike behavior may result in penalization or disqualification.
* Use of mountain bikes is promitted but bar ends must be removed.
* If a rider for any reason needs to to enter the pit they MUST follow around the complete course till they come to the pit entrance. No short cutting the course to get to pit area and NO back tracking to do so.
